Susanne Pulverer

Susanne is CEO & CSO, IKEA India. She joined IKEA in 1997 and has worked across organizations in different roles within IKEA. This is her third stint in India. Prior to this, Susanne was the Business Risk and Compliance Manager Ingka Group where she strongly contributed to brand’s risk and compliance strategy in times of transformation and COVID-19 pandemic.
She started as Environmental Manager for the IKEA Group and moved on to IKEA of Sweden, the Product Development Company, where she held various roles in different business categories. She then moved to India in 2007 to head the purchasing function for IKEA South Asia covering India, Pakistan and Bangladesh until 2011, during which she developed a strong connection and passion for India and its people. Before joining back IKEA India once again in 2017, Susanne was Managing Director at IKEA Communications, the in-house agency of IKEA, for 5 years during which she led the organisation through a major transformation for better business and people result.

Susanne in her last role in India was the Country Sustainability Manager laying down a people and planet positive framework for India. She was also leading market development for Delhi & NCR region. Susanne is extremely happy to be back in India, as she helps contribute to lead IKEA towards its vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.

Susanne is Swedish and has a Master’s degree in Science and Business Management. She is passionate about yoga, fitness, nature and well-being. She lives in Bengaluru with her family and looks forward to an even longer innings in India this time.
