Head - Innovative Finance for India and South Asia, United Nations Development Programme

Karanraj is the Advisor for SDG and Innovative Finance at the United Nations Development Programme for the India country office and has previously supported a number of other offices in the region. He focuses on efforts to crowd-in additional capital to address key development challenges and supports development of innovative financing instruments through actionable research and strategic partnerships. At present, he is leading the Secretariat for the Ministry of Finance’s Sustainable Finance Task Force. Previously, Karanraj worked with the Acumen Fund, a venture capital fund that leverages entrepreneurial solutions to address poverty and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on Corporate Finance. He holds degrees in management and business administration from King’s College London and Oxford University.
